Employment Opportunities

Class A Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Valid PA State Inspection license of the appropriate class, and a strong electrical background required.  RVT may provide training to secure the appropriate CDL and State Inspection licenses. 

Responsibilities include:

  • PM service and troubleshooting
  • Body work; Welding
  • Repair/replace transit vehicle systems, including, but not limited to, diesel engine, transmission, climate control, suspension, electrical and wheelchair lift systems.
 

Laborer - 2nd Shift

Valid PA drivers license with CDL classification required. RVT may provide training to secure the appropriate CDL license.

Responsibilities include:

  • Janitorial work
  • Washing, cleaning and servicing buses
  • Grounds keeping
  • Minor building maintenance
  • Running errands.
 

Part-Time Bus Operator

Must have excellent driving record (verified through the State Motor Vehicle Dept.). RVT may provide training to secure the appropriate CDL license.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide superior customer service to RVT customers
  • Operate transit vehicles on fixed routes
  • Maintain published schedule
  • Operate transit vehicle in safe manor
 

All applicants must possess a valid drivers license and have an excellent driving record. All positions are subject to residency requirements and to all applicable Federal Regulations governing workplace anti-drug and alcohol programs in the transit industry as specified by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and 49 CFR P655 and 49 CFRP Part 40, and the "Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988". This shall include analytical urine drug testing and breath testing for alcohol for: reasonable suspicion, random, post-accident, return to duty, and follow-up during the course of employment.
